We’re looking forward to you joining us as we celebrate our 5th birthday in honky-tonk fashion as part of the Above the Beaten Track festival at The Bluecoat on Saturday 27th August!

culturepool will be hosting the main stage in the garden, opened by S J Downes at 1pm, and our set will feature:

Tom George
Andy Steele
The Science of the Lamps
The Trestles

This isn’t just a party to mark five years of culturepool, it’s also a celebration of all that’s good about grass roots organisations, artists, performers and musicians working together in a positive and inclusive way.

But above all… it’s a good ol’ party and it’s FREE! See below for full details.

Above the Beaten Track is a festival for the creative grass roots scene of Liverpool, returning in 2011 with more than a nod to honky tonk. It’s an opportunity for live music, DJs, performance art, poetry…

Play the honky-tonk mon-iker game on Facebook and Twitter to help celebrate culturepool's 5th birthday at the Above The Beaten Track: Honky Tonk festival  on August 27th!

1. Take the surname of your first music teacher  (eg  Murphy / Seymour)

2. Add the name of a musical instrument  (eg "Guitar" / "Whistle")

3. Finish with an American state/city/town starting with the 1st letter of your surname (eg Louisville / Louisianna)
