They might not play a brass instrument between them. They might not be able to get over the day their musical career was thwarted. But something about the tradition of British brass bands has inspired them. And they’re gonna fly now…
This raucous new show from Liverpool-based theatre collective The Suitcase Ensemble, is a warm and informal performance inspired by childhood dreams, lost glories, and the unsung history of the once famous Edge Hill Brass Band.
It’s a cheeky blend of live music, quirky theatricality, and absurd humour. It’s one part folk club, one part school play. It’s poignant and hilarious. It’s provocative. And it’s pure punk.
A special workshop starts at 6pm and is FREE if you fancy giving it a go. For the 8.30pm performance we have a a limited number of culturepool £4 tickets (normally £8) - cash only, payable on the door.
