It was great to see everyone last night and we loved meeting and talking to the talented young actors. Any thoughts that AtoZ was an amateur production were blown away in this entertaining and engaging play. Next we’re going to see Ten Tiny Toes at The Everyman Theatre on Friday 4th July and we’ve also got an amazing ticket price of just £8 (usually £14) for culturepool. Tickets selling fast and the show finishes its run on Saturday!! Ten Tiny Toes is the story of mothers whose sons have been killed whilst serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. Centred around a Liverpool family, writer Esther Wilson (Unprotected) brings us an uncompromising account of the heart-breaking choices faced by mothers today and what happens when a distant war comes home. We’ll be joined by TV stars Philosophy In Pubs (as seen on Alexei Sayle’s BBC documentary!), writer Esther Wilson and the cast for a discussion in the bar after the play. We're
half way through 2008 It's July and we've already done 10 amazing events in 2008 including theatre, dance, film, poetry, music, visual art and a walk. We've met so many talented people including conductor Vasily Petrenko, actor Matthew Kelly, performers Eli Randle & Yorgos Karamalegos, novelist Niall Griffiths, artists Jay Yung & Richard Meaghan and screenwriter Martin Sherman. We've worked with some great organisations including FACT, Momentum Theatre, Liverpool Philharmonic Hall, The Unity Theatre, The View Two Gallery, Merseysides International Womens Week, The Everyman Theatre, METAL, Cho In Theatre and Writing on The Wall. We would like to thank everybody for their involvement and support and to all culturepool members for making the events a success. We're really looking forward to next 6 months of 2008! |
