No Current Bun is the latest
exhibition from popular local artist Richard Meaghan
at View Two Gallery on Matthew Street. The works function like short
stories based on the artists’
memory and experience, in which their
plots are compressed into
single images.
Richard says “The show…will
be based around my recent holidays. No Current Bun was
a phrase my brother-in-law used when I was taking a break from the sun by
staying in the shade… and
contain elements of whatever is going on in my life at
the time of the painting”
Richard Meaghan was born in
Liverpool in 1973 and studied Fine Art at Staffordshire University.
He recently exhibited alongside Turner Prize winning artist’s Chris
Ofili and Keith Tyson, in
Exposed - Art and Culture in England’s North West. He lives
in Liverpool and has upcoming exhibitions in Copenhagen, Hamburg and
Berlin as well as being recently commissioned to do a large piece of art
for the developers behind the Beetham Plaza.
Come and find out what
stories Richard’s work tells! We’ll be joining Richard for
a cuppa and a chat after viewing the exhibition.
The View Two Gallery has restricted
access, please check for more details.
